Here's the goals, but not the saves, from Newell's tie with Argentinos Jrs


Or, I should say, not the saves that I was hoping for. Peratta made one in the first half that Argentinos thought they had scored, and really should have. Peratta, however, had other ideas, and managed, just, to get a fist to the ball to punch it away.

Torrico made a lovely save during the second half on a shot that was otherwise destine for the upper left hand corner of the Argentinos net.

Why is it that when the game is done, all the people who put together highlight footage only bother with the goals? The critical saves are just as important to the final score, and often just as thrilling.
