Once again I had a previous commitment, and couldn't watch the yesterday's match against Estudiantes. That being the case, I really can't say much about the game, though I have seen the footage of the lone goal. Rather than dwell on the loss, I'll more on to better news.
Of course, to get to that, we have to dredge up the memories of Ratopez, and the state in which he left the club's facilities. The bastard took all the paperwork, and so now anyone and everyone who can claim that Newell's owes them money has been crawling out of from under the rocks they were hiding under to make a claim. With no receipts from any of the bills that Lope$ paid, if he did in fact pay any of them, the club is going to have a difficult time disproving some of these claims. I have previously mentioned the state which the previous president cum dictator left the club offices in, as well as the state of the stadium itself.
Now, add to all of this the Bella Vista training complex, which Lionel Messi's father, Jorge, visited the other day. The purpose of the visit was to get an idea of the work that needs to be done to fix the place up, as Leo, in a showing of where his true loyalties lie, will be helping to pay the bill.
Messi, for those who may not know, was in Newell's youth development system. He was sold to Barcelona when he was 13 as he had some health issues that Newell's could not afford to pay for (or so the story goes.)

A couple of questions:
1. Is Leo originaly from Rosario?
2. What health issues? Barca will buy a 13 year old with some health issues? The story does go a bit funny...
In regards to the goal , you got to say that a terrible defensive error and a dreaming goalkeeper. Or maybe the fog made it hard to see. I did not know that La Plata can get that foggy.

Absolutely, he was born there.
2. What health issues?
Saying that was a health issue is a bit off, but not far. The young Leo had growth hormone deficiency problems. Even with the treatments that he has received at Barca, he's still only 5'7".
And, yes, when the 13 year old has the talent that a young Messi displayed, they were more than willing to take a chance on him.
As for the goal, the attempted clearance was rather pathetic. I can't blame Caffa too much, as this was his first game in goal for quite some time.
