Newell's will be playing two preseason friendlies in Buenos Aires this week, the first against Vélez Sarsfield on the 21st, the second on the 23rd against Chacarita Jrs. The following 28 players have been reported for those matches:
Goalkeepers: Sebastián Peratta, Nahuel Guzmán, Lucas Hoyos.
Defenders: Agustín Alayes, Rolando Schiavi, Luciano Vella, Gabriel Cichero, Carlos Del Giorno, Alexis Machuca, Jonatan Hereñú.
Midfielders: Diego Mateo, Lucas Bernardi, Mauricio Sperduti, Marcelo Estigarribia, Mauro Formica, Leandro Velázquez, Mauricio Scaglia, Raúl Villalba, Cristian Díaz, Franco Dolci, Federico Domínguez.
Forwards: Luis Rodríguez, Sebastián Taborda, Iván Borghello, Diego Torres, Emanuel Dening, Cristian González, Maximiliano Urruti.
So, it looks as though Diego Torres is still with the club after all. I hope that he and Sensini have come to terms, as, from my perspective, he looks to be our best forward.
Staying home to recover from injuries are Leonel Vangioni, Federico Falcone, Ignacio Fideleff and Daniel Salvatierra.
